This service outlet must provide eight (8) places for children and young people with complex to extreme support needs across multiple locations. The service must have capacity to provide 24 hour support, 7 days per week, with at least one worker on at all times 16 hours per day, plus an eight (8) hour sleepover shift. In addition, the service must have capacity for extra staff support during school holidays, weekends and public holidays. The service must provide culturally safe and secure support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to ensure their cultural identity and connection to family and community is assisted and maintained. The service will encourage children and young people to engage in education, training or employment. Where a child or young person is not engaged in education, training or employment, the service will support educational and/or vocational activities.
