This service outlet must provide six (6) places across a minimum of two locations at any one time, to children and young people with complex to extreme support needs across the Toowoomba catchment. The service must have capacity to provide 24 hour support, 7 days per week with at least one worker on at all times Sixteen (16) hours per day, plus an eight (8) hour sleepover shift. Placement matching across locations can be flexible with appropriately rostered models, to best respond to the needs of the client group and/or individual clients, The service will have flexibility to increase or decrease support worker hours depending on the need at the time. The service must provide culturally safe and secure support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to ensure their cultural identity and connection to family and community is assisted and maintained. The service will encourage children and young people to engage in education, training or employment. Where a child or young person is not engaged in education, training or employment, the service will support educational and/or vocational activities.
