This service outlet must provide two (2) residential care places for children and young people assessed with a disability and requiring complex to extreme level of support. The service must have capacity to provide up to 21 hours weekdays and 26 hours on weekends and school holidays. Placement matching across locations can be flexible with appropriately rostered models, to best respond to the needs of the client group and/or individual clients, within limits of the funding provided. The service will have flexibility to increase or decrease youth worker hours depending on the need at the time. The service must provide culturally safe and secure support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to ensure their cultural identity and connection to family and community is assisted and maintained. The service will encourage children and young people to engage in education, training or employment. Where a child or young person is not engaged in education, training or employment, the service will support educational and/or vocational activities.
